The UK Prime Minister is expected to urge supporting countries to provide Ukraine with additional extended-range weaponry to target enemy locations during discussions in London on the upcoming Friday.

The prime minister plans to receive Ukraine's leader Zelensky alongside the so-called "coalition of the willing", comprising over twenty of Ukraine's allies who have committed to provide Ukraine security guarantees once a ceasefire is brokered.

Ukraine's president has been pleading for weeks for more advanced missile technology from the West, an action that Russia has cautions would escalate the conflict.

The Ukrainian president is travelling from Brussels, where he met European Union officials on yesterday requesting funding aid.
