Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Dies in an LA Traffic Collision
The co-creator of Call of Duty, the mind behind the wildly popular first-person shooter Call of Duty, has tragically died in a traffic collision in California aged 55.
His passing was verified by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, the development studio which he helped establish.
The renowned video game developer passed away following his vehicle was involved in a crash and caught fire on a freeway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday morning, as reported by.
"We are facing a heartbreaking loss, and our hearts are with Vince's loved ones, his family, and everyone impacted by his legacy," a representative from Electronic Arts commented.
